Who’s ready for National Student Conclave this fall? There are always so many amazing things happening at the NSC, and this year’s shaping up to be no different.
We love this event because it’s all about getting involved. Not only does the student leadership get elected, but it’s also a great place to learn about the grassroots efforts in the field that impact the profession as a whole (just check out #GetPT1st, PTDayofService (#PTDOS) and #choosePT, for starters!) If you want to expand your network, these are the people to meet!
To celebrate all the incredible ways students are getting involved and to make sure we don’t miss an inspiring word from the future leaders of our profession, NAIOMT would like to cover the cost of the conference for two students selected to be one of our digital correspondents. Help us soak it all up, capturing moments and sharing your experiences online.
Interested in telling the stories of your peers and the profession? Just take to Twitter and express why getting involved in our profession politically and/or socially is important to you. Make sure to tag @NAIOMT and include a photo–bonus points for video though! 😉
Here’s what we’re looking for in a NAIOMT Digital Correspondent:
Political Correspondent
The focus of a political correspondent will be the student elections and the many political issues involving our profession and what students are doing about it. This person will attend relevant sessions, taking photos, live tweeting poignant quotes, and even conduct a few video interviews of student leaders at the forefront of these vital topics.
Educational Correspondent
The focus of the educational correspondent will be to highlight the educational sessions at the conference. You can’t be two places at once of course but we want to hear what you think about the sessions you attend. This person will attend sessions of their choice, take photo and video, post tweets, and have their finger on the pulse of the spirit of the conference.
The two correspondents selected will receive:
– Registration to National Student Conclave October 27-29 in Miami, FL. For students who are already registered, we will reimburse the registration fee.
– Meals and drinks not covered as part of conference will be taken care of when enjoyed with NAIOMT representatives Heather Chavin and Liz Henry, PT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT.
– NAIOMT will also cover any costs associated with PT-PAC events and PT Pub Night.
We look forward to connecting with you and another wonderful year at this important event! Want to learn more about making a difference? Watch this interview from last year’s NSC with former APTASA President (and passionate PT!) Fred Gilbert.
